He noted that there are 224 carpet production workshops in the province: At present, 12,708 people are covered with carpet weaving insurance in the form of social security and 4,609 people are insured in the form of insurance of the Agricultural Social Fund, villagers and nomads. have became.

The Deputy Governor of West Azerbaijan for Economic Affairs, pointing out that hand-woven carpet weavers are also active in 7 complexes, said: Khoy and Afshar Takab rugs in the north and south of Azerbaijan were nationally registered in 2010 and woven carpets in Khoy in 1392. The world record has been reached. We are also looking for the world registration of Afshar Takab carpet.

He said: Takab and Khoy cities are the most important centers of carpet production in the province and besides them, carpet weaving is also common in the cities of Buchan, Shahindaj, Miandoab, Mahabad and Urmia.

The Deputy Governor of West Azerbaijan continued: “Considering the good capacities of the province in the field of education and vocational training in the field of carpet weaving, this opportunity can be used optimally to create employment for prisoners and their families in order to create employment and income both during the sentence and after release.

Sadeghi also referred to the employment of 610 clients of the provincial relief committee in the field of carpets and added: during 1399, more than 3,000 square meters of carpets were produced by these people, which resulted in more than 7 billion and 500 million tomans net profit.

He stated: In this regard, more than one thousand and 100 projects related to carpets in 1400 have been predicted for the clients of the provincial relief committee.
